30 weeks...

We are now at 30 weeks... Just 11 more weeks to go with this pregnancy! (aka-2 months!) So crazy. (In case those of you are wondering, I count my pregnancy out of 41 weeks. :) So I'm not disappointed if I go over my 'due date'.)

Where our baby is at:
The baby now measures 15.7 inches now and weighs about 3.3 pounds! The lungs and digestive system are approaching maturity and from now on our baby's rate of weight gain will be faster than its growth. (I have to be careful from here on out! Exercise!) During the next month our baby will actively absorb and start to store nutrients that my body provides, which includes calcium for skeletal development, iron for red blood cell production, and protein for general growth. (All things that the Brewer's Diet emphasizes)

Some things that are changing now that we are in the third trimester? My prenatal visits have changed from being every month to now being every other week (until around week 36 or 37 I believe). I think they say that in your third trimester you will be gaining on average around 11 pounds, which means that at this point in time I should be gaining about a little bit less than a pound per week. (Again,... I need to remember to exercise while I still have the energy, huh?)
